Refillable Gas Canister for Backpacking Camping

This pocket gas fuel canister TC-15 is a refillable canister that can be attached to a gas lantern for standard camping EN417 Lindal valve gas fuel. The key feature is its compatibility with multiple fuel cans. Although it requires refilling, you can use the fuel you have on hand, even allowing you to deplete cans that previously had too little gas left to be usable.

Measuring approximately 2" in diameter by 1.8" in height, and weighing around 6.4oz/180g, this canister is made of aluminum, stainless steel, and brass. It has a maximum filling capacity of up to 15g of butane gas. While using 15g of butane can provide around 1-2 hours of illumination on a camping lantern, the actual usage time may vary based on the fuel consumption rate, burning conditions, and ambient temperature. Refer to the lantern's specifications and manual for a more accurate usage estimate.

The canister features a CNC-machined finish, giving it a high-quality, durable texture. It comes with an occlusion cap to protect the threaded parts, and has a 1/4" screw hole at the bottom that allows it to be attached to a mini tripod for use with cameras and similar devices. This provides stable installation even on uneven surfaces, though the mini tripod is not included.

Filling the canister is straightforward, as it can be refilled from a variety of fuel cans. The brass top houses the filling valve, into which you can insert the nozzle of a lighter gas or other CB canister and push down to fill. When using Lindal valve cans, a separate Multi-Adapter Z15 is required.

This gas fuel canister is suitable for use with outdoor canister gas lanterns and cassette torch burners, but not for commercial torches or gas stoves designed for butane canisters. When filling, it's important to avoid overfilling, as this can lead to unstable flames, clogging, and other malfunctions. The flame size is affected by factors like remaining gas amount, gas composition, and internal pressure.

For storage and transport, be sure to hold the main unit, not the nozzle, as there is a risk the nozzle could detach. Also note that unlike commercial gas cans, the firepower from this refillable canister may be somewhat less stable due to the lack of internal steam pressure.
